JAMİLA KIR
JAMILA KIR is a Moroccan abstract pop art painter, cartoonist and jewellery designer. She started her art journey in a different art field, but as soon as she moved to Turkey, she was affected by Turkish women’s tragic stories on the media and started to transfer these emotions onto her canvas.
I'm a self-taught artist and I enjoy mixing colors, lines and shapes to come up with amazing paintings.Drawing these women’s portraits and reflecting on what they have been through was an emotional experience that reminded me of my feminist roots and the pain and suffering women endure just to exist.I have worked on other projects as well. For example, I love to create unique jewelry using clay, and if you have seen my work, then you know I am a huge fan of abstract faces.I enjoy trying new things and discovering and horning my skills on different surfaces using different materials. ART has no limit so why should I create one?
